DescriptionThe jacket hangs straight to the knee and has flat, long, set-in sleeves. It appears to be constructed from many woven strips and panels but is in fact one piece of cloth. The overall design is symmetrical and is composed of diamond shapes and chevrons of various sizes. The embroidery is mainly red and is sewn in a loose technique, so that it almost completely covers the loosely woven black ground fabric. The jacket opens at the center front. It has a new lining of rayon.
