ProvenanceAbad Eloy Lucero was a furniture instructor at the Taos Vocational School during the New Deal era. He trained many WPA furniture artists in New Mexico. The trastero was made in 1999 when Abad Lucero was 89 years of age. It is his own design and uses mortise-and-tenon joinery. He also made the wrought iron hardware for the trastero.
DescriptionTrastero cabinet with double doors, carvings-pediment, front crossbar and lower portion of doors. Upper doors have elongated, round balustrades-four sections, five in each section. Iron hinges, escutcheons, and rings.
