DescriptionMixed media wall hanging consisting of eight small framed scenes around a larger central scene. Each scene is behind glass bordered in a "gold" rope, and the wood frames are painted black. The CENTER SCENE is titled "La Llorona" and depicts a mourning woman dressed in black with gold plastic stars. At her feet is a blue stream with three floating children. The whole scene is edged on the outside in several rows of red sequins with an artificial flack rose in each corner. The other scenes are as follows:
UPPER LEFT: El Ojo Mal, Female face looking at a reclining child wrapped in white lace and with pink and white flowers. A milagro is set against a red background.
UPPER MIDDLE: Roswell Incident, A UFO is crash landing in a desert scene, and three green aliens in blue glitter space suits are depicted. A row of rocks form the bottom edge.
UPPER RIGHT: La Bruja. Flying red-clothed witch with a broom in her left hand and a white owl in her right. She is riding on a red-sequined fireball with red rays. The background is blue-green glitter. At the bottom are three red devils dancing with a witch behind red flames.
MIDDLE LEFT: La Curandera. Woman dressed in black in a kitchen setting. She is holding a pan with grapes and around her on the table, on shelves, hanging above her, and under the table are various pots, bowls and jars containing herbs. these items are in different colors. Hanging on the front of the table is a Spanish-style weaving in many colors. Behind her is the portrait of a man.
MIDDLE RIGHT: Dona Sebastiana. A skeleton is dressed in white and black lace and is holding an axe. On each side of her are three white skulls with gold glitter eyes. The background is a red patterned lace.
LOWER LEFT: Bailando con Diablo. a devil with red horns and protruding red-arrowed tail holds the back of a lady he is dancing with. She has a red rose a pearls around her neck. The background is red foil and four red roses form the border at the bottom.
CENTER BOTTOM: El Chupacabra. A red-eyed monster hovers over a black goat in a scene with many green and orange plastic flowers. The foreground is brown, and the background is blue with a white glitter full moon.
LOWER RIGHT; La Zozobra. typical giant white Zozobra figure with green, red, and blue glitter. Red glitter flames are in front of him, and multicolored foil circular "fireworks" are behind him on a black background. The bottom border is a crown scene of typical attendees and the annual ceremony. the top border is pink glitter with a row of purple sequins.
