DescriptionPiece consists of many white tortilla fragments glued on a canvas board. Painted in far center in a green corn stack with many ears of yellow corn. Standing on the left wearing a gray herring bone dress and a red hat is a woman holding a brown basket and picking corn. Kneeling on the right is a girl wearing a pink blouse and red skirt who is also picking ears of corn. Scattered around are a variety of symbols such as a heart, cross, hypodermic needle and fists, and words such as hope, destiny, truth, courage and machismo.
