DescriptionThe two doors of this wooden box are hinged with leather strings. On the front of the doors are faded and worn red floral designs while on the inside are blue and red floral designs. The box contains a carved stone mounted male figure (Santiago) who wears a black jacket and red cape billowing behind. In one hand he holds an upraised sword overhead; in the other he has the black reins of his brown horse. On one side hang images of the moon and a bird; on the other images of the sun and another bird. Santiago's horse is trampling another figure (a Moor).
