DescriptionThe top of this distaff is a nearly complete circle of light brown wood with a center slot at the top. Facing each other on either side of the slot are long-tailed animals. Beneath the circle is a v-shape leading into the handle. A repeating "X" design is carved into the wooden circle; rows of triangular incisions appear in the "v".
