DescriptionLong, slender, dark stained and smoked handle with beaked creature holding snake and three heads at base end. The section which inserts into the drum has rectangular cutout near handle, and one projection with two round piercings near end (the other "arm" is broken off. The handle has a round, conical "headdress" at drum end which is worn by three heads, each with bared teeth. Below the heads are bas-relief intertwined, carved "rope" bands and two striped lobes. The triangular handle end has beaked creatures holding snakes, as well as other bas-relief symbols.Mid-20th century
