DescriptionWood chest. Spanish Colonial style. Ponderosa pine. Carved, sawn, pegged. Front: 2 carved rosettes, carved half-lunette below lock. Iron Spanish style lock in shape of double-headed eagle. Chip carving on front legs.Scallopped stretcher in front. Top: chip-carved strip at front, carved "fans" in each rear corner. Carved rosette within a carved circle and diamond center back. Siudes: chip-carving on legs and stretchers, carved rosaette in center of panel. Back: chip-carving on sides.

Hardware on chest is from Granada, Spain. Chest signed on bttm.
