DescriptionThree adult figures surround a reclining female figure giving birth; an infant head is emerging from under the blanket. All figures have coarse woven cotton faces embroidered with wool yarn. All have thread-wrapped straw limbs and are mounted to a rectangular straw backing wrapped in layers of cotton gauze and netting.1920-1972
