DescriptionThis wool apron consists of a three warp woven, rectangular pieces, turned to the side and sewn together. The predominant color, orange, contains black stripes centered with either bule, green, or puruple. These colors also create small geometric designs in an orange ground. Surrounding the lower woven section is black velvet with black braid and a row of mauve stitching. At the lower corners, an embroidered velvet square extends over the weaving. A smaller black braid cord edges the waist and uppper sides. There are Byzantine Cross motifs. The ties are made of black and dusty blue braids.20th century
