DescriptionRoyal blue broadcloth; white, green, red, orange, and black horizontally striped woven panel (breddan); cream chintz; kelly green figured silk; Turkey red plain weave cotton printed with yellow, blue and green floral motifs; red felt: (a) Skirt: Broadcloth; Above-ankle length; wide red waistband, ribbed horizontal overstitching, indigo dyed linen substrate; flat front, pleated into waistband from sides to back; breddan panel at front; PL side hook and eye closure and slit; (b) Blouse: Chintz; unfitted; waist-length; long tubular sleeves gathered into narrow band cuffs of blue embroidery, geometric pattern, red edges; round neck, self binding; open at CB; (c) Bodice: Figured silk; waist-length; long self straps; Y-shaped back; silver metal lacing rings at CF and strap joins; red ribbon bows brocaded with purple, green and white floral motifs, at PL; red silk binding; (d) Neckerchief: Turkey red plain weave; triangular, front ends slightly clipped; green silk binding; kelly green ribbon bow brocaded with blue, purple and white floral motifs, attached at CF upper-third level with hook and eye closure; silver metal ornament with pendant charms and crown form at top, at CF lower-third; (e) Tam: Red felt; round; turned back lip at head opening; (f) scarf pin; (g) red bow; (h) green bowfourth quarter 19th century
