DescriptionThe robe has tapered sleeves. It is made from two layers of handspun woven cotton. The inside is a light color, the outside dark. There is a symmetrically designed linear embroidery on the lower half, upper back center, cuffs and on the collar/neck and lapels in a lighter (brown) colored thread. The embroidery describes shapes which are reminiscent of floral forms, and is achieved by couching the un-twined embroidery thread onto the surface of the coat. The coat has three ties, two on the lapels and one on the right side so that the wearer can tie the coat "left over right"; colors are indigo and tan. Color B: Dark blue indigo ground (exterior), light blue indigo lining, medium brown embroidery thread. Technique C: Handspun and embroidery
