DescriptionThe top of this hat with a large oval shaped brim surrounding a small crown is covered w/ black velvet and sections of red felt at front and back. Strips of gold woven ribbon form a four-part design with divisions at the sides revealing a triangle filled with another pink metallic ribbon. Around the edge of the brim is a very faded pink brocade ruffle. The felt underside is red and green covering an armature made of straw coils. The inner burlap crown is brown. A multicolored woven tie hangs from the bottom.
