DescriptionMedium reddish brown basket, rectangular, with attached lid and pin for closure. The basket body of plain weave over thin splints, the inner liner of herringbone weave. Top, bottom and opening of lid decorated with blonde, triangle motif, vertical strips over darker, reddish horizontals. The lid of herringbone weave, with a "bowtie" like braiding running from the corners to across the top. Loops on the basket and lid provide attachment points to secure and hold them together. A small carved wood pick secures the lid. Other wrapped loops located at the sides and front lower.
