DescriptionMade by Patricia Montoya of Valle (Village of Truchas-Trampas road to the east), who was disabled, working about 1890-1895. Her blankets are all Germantown yarns in bright colors and her designs were usually, like this blanket, or large star and lozenge elements. The village gave the name "Valero Star" to this type of blanket design. See Alfred I. Barton collection of Southwestern Textiles pg. 95-98
