DescriptionThe area of the head covering that shows has a gold ribbon and gold braid edging on three sides. The center motif---perhaps a tree of life---is of gold braid that loops into branches and three dimensional tri-foil flowers. Each petal of the flowers is centered with a small colored bead (no set color pattern) of black, blue, red, or green. The area is further decorated with silver sequins and ties of irregular length.Late 19th century
