DescriptionThe chemise is made of white cotton with pink stripes. Its stand-up collar, front opening, and sleeves are decorated in geometric patterns carried out in cross stitch (or needle-point stitch) mainly in dark brown with touches of green, coral, and dark blue. The hem pattern in red and green resembles birds in flight. There are also interspersed crosses. The upper-back is smocked and the cuffs are gathered. On each side of the opening, beginning with the collar are five parallel gray hoops. Two initals (M's?) are on the front of the skirt.
