DescriptionThis child’s miyamairi kimono (ceremonial kimono for first shrine visit) is comprised of hand spun cotton thread, may also include linen and flax, partial silk lining, and an overall indigo dye. The lower portion of the garment depicts the story of Momotaro and includes Momotaro, yokai (such as demons), and animal characters.Collected in the 1830's
