DescriptionTall, slightly oval, warm, dark brown herringbone weave lidded basket with square wood splint base, widens to widest point at center and narrowing to approximately same dimensions as foot at round neck. The neck is wrapped with a thick splint and has an inner wood splint rim over which fits the round lid. The lid has a round wood top and wood splint sides lashed together. A twisted cord, which is attached to a loop on the shoulder, secures the lid to the basket. Another twisted cord, secured to the same loop and a loop on the opposite side, serves as a handle.
