DescriptionPart of an Egyptian embroidered vestment, Coptic, belonging to a well known group of Coptic needle-work, depicting a Christian scene of the Virgin and Child, flanked by 2 Saints. Colors are red, black, blue, gold, green and cream on a dark ecru ground; made of polychrome silk and metal embroidery on cotton.
