DescriptionHuipil from San Antonio Aguas Calientes. White cotton ground scarcely visible as garment is almost completely brocaded. Bands of multi-colored cotton, serrate, diamond, checkered motifs. Two panel, four selvedge huipil, solidly brocaded in multicolor cotton geometric designs, handsewn seams. Heavily twisted warp threads, evidence of neck and armhole binding which no longer exists, white warp and weft.
