Carmen Abelleira created this contemporary image of the Virgin of
Guadalupe. She explains her work, saying “La Virgen is asking us to do
our part by implementing the proven effective rituals of hand washing
and mask wearing. It is about faith coupled with practical actions and
compassionate precautions" (from exhibition label text).
