DescriptionDark stained, lidded and handled basket. Basket (a) on square bent wood base with flat bottom and nearly straight herringbone woven sides rising to decorative band at round shoulder. Shoulder then decreases in size to tuck at bottom of straight neck, edged with plaiting. Handle attached with plaited ring to loop at shoulder. Small loops in wood base. Lid has square, flat top with decorative plaiting and round lip; finished by lashing around splint and then plaited.
