DescriptionTall, slender, lidded basket (a) with round opening and round top half. At just above mid point are four metal loops woven into the basket and a widening in the weaving pattern. Below this point the basket narrows to a rectangular bottom, with bamboo crossing across bottom, bent at corners and running up sides to just below the loops. The lid (b) has a slightly convex top and straight sides. The basket top and bottom are sealed with wax and resin and are woven with thin horizontal weavers over 1/4" wide splints.
