DescriptionA northern New Mexico village scene with lots of activity. A large buttressed church with bell tower and bell dominate the center of the scene. On the left side is a truck pulling a camper, four teepees, two trees, one with a snake warpped around it, and a snake and dog on the ground. In front of the church is a cementary. On the right is a teepee, a wagon, a child skipping rope, a swing set, two kids on a teeter totter, a child's car, a man on a horse, a black dog, and a rock shrine with our Lady of Guadalupe figure. In the background are four boats on the river, two with persons in each one and a hillside with trees, rising sun and four clouds against a dark blue sky. An extra piece of wood has been attached to the sides so the painting is recesed. This border and the edge are painted black.Ellen Santistevan
