DescriptionMade by Lis Mia Dahl (b. 1921) The front of this pocket is appliqued in wool and embroidered in couch, stem, double herringbone and whip stitches. In the center, the date 1971 is stitched above the central heart.The pocket ties with a red and white machine woven cotton ribbon, typical of the Leksand region. Woman’s pocket, made by Liss Mia in 1971 using materials available at the Leksand Hemslöjd. Wool appliqued and embroidered in couched, double herringbone, whip and stem stitch. Dated. Pocket tied on with machine woven cotton ribbon in the characteristic Leksand red/white pattern.
