DescriptionHandled, lidded basket (a) of herringbone weave with square bent wood foot rises to a row of plaiting, at which point the basket is relatively round. Here basket narrows upward to straight neck, also finished with plaiting. A slender plaited handle is attached to the shoulder. A lid (b), square on top and round at the lip, has a relatively flat top and slightly rounded sides. The edge is strengthened by lashing around a thin splint before being finished with fine plaiting.
